A Guide to Private Aircraft Types

A Guide to Private Aircraft Types

Whether it’s the large cabin Gulfstream V, super-midsize Hawker 4000 or turbo prop King Air 300, Talon Air’s private aircraft will get you where you want or need to go speedily, safely and in incredible comfort.  Join us as we take a look at the private aircraft classes that Talon Air employs and the benefits of each type.

Heavy Jets

Talon’s elite class of heavy jets feature ample cabin space, state-of-the-art amenities with ultra long range capabilities.  These luxurious private jets provide a genuine blend of comfort and transatlantic capability.  Talon Air’s Gulfstream IVSP boasts intercontinental range with on board amenities unlike any other aircraft.

Super-Midsize Jets

These private aircraft have greater seating capacity and roomier cabins than midsize jets as well as luxury features that are normally seen in heavy jets such as a galley, meeting area, business communications hub and entertainment center.  Super-midsize jets mix the efficiency of a midsize aircraft with the greater range and speed that heavy jets are known for, making them appropriate for country-spanning or international flights.  Talon Air’s Hawker 4000 is the most advanced super midsize available on the market.

Midsize Jets

Midsize private aircraft merge the flight distance, speed and comfort from larger jets with a smaller footprint and more energy-conscious fuel consumption rate.  Talon’s own Hawker 800XP features the largest, most comfortable cabin of any equivalent midsize private jet.

Light Jets

Light jets provide not only access to smaller airports but also can reach great speeds.  Talon’s unique Beechjet 400A is powered by fuel-efficient engines and is able to cruise at 500 mph at 43,000 feet.

Turboprop Jets

Turboprop aircraft are powered by engines that utilize a gas turbine in order to drive the propeller. These reliable engines provide turboprops with the ability to fly at higher altitudes, perform better on shorter runways (enabling them access to more general airports that may have runways that are too short to manage larger jet options) and a lower fuel cost.  Talon’s single-engine Cessna Caravan features leather seating, a striking wooden trim and on-board space for over one dozen pieces of luggage.

A helicopter’s ability to take off and land vertically allows them to be used in congested or isolated areas where jets would not be able to take off or land.  Talon Air’s Sikorsky 76 is an executive helicopter that is equipped with Wi-Fi in the Northeast and can seat six.

Talon Air’s private aircraft are equipped with the most up-to-date avionic and entertainment technology available today.  Talon has served clients from all over the globe, maintains the highest ratings from Wyvern Wingman and ARG/US Platinum for in-flight inspection, maintenance and safety standards and is a recognized industry leader.
