Luxury Services and Humanitarian Work Combine at Talon Air

Luxury Services and Humanitarian Work Combine at Talon Air

In 2001 Adam Katz founded Talon Air in an effort to incorporate an impressive measure of reliability, flexibility, luxury, safety and stellar customer service into the private jet industry. Today, Adam Katz resides as CEO.  Talon Air isn’t just a luxury private jet company, it’s a company that has committed itself to shouldering the responsibility of much needed humanitarian work.

Patient AirLift Services for those in need

One example of Talon’s dedication to humanitarian work is their contribution to Patient AirLift Services (PALS).  This organization helps Northeasterners in need to fly as far South as Virginia and as far West as Ohio.  This is primarily provided for patients undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatments, those with immune-deficiencies, weak or fragile patients who cannot endure commercial transportation, wounded military personnel and more.  Since 2008, CEO Adam Katz has been offering PALS Northeastern cancer patients with the means to meet medical appointments.  Talon Air happily donates their pilots, time, airplanes and all expenses without compensation.

Awareness for a local community center’s plight

The Poughkeepsie JCC in Dutchess County, NY has been around for over 50 years, serving the community, doing their own humanitarian work for all faiths and races.  The center provides early childhood education, senior programs, continuing education and physical education, a pool, basketball courts and more.  In recent years, declining revenue has led to a financial dilemma, leading them to possible bankruptcy.  The JCC’s own Rabbi Hecht began a grassroots campaign in order to save the JCC and was joined in solidarity by Talon Air’s CEO, Adam Katz, who recently flew in to the Poughkeepsie JCC via Talon’s own Sikorsky 76 N591AK helicopter to engage in humanitarian work for the beloved community center.  Mr. Katz took a tour of the JCC’s facilities, including their gym and attended a small press conference with the aim of helping to raise awareness for this much-needed fixture of the local community.
