China prepares for its private jet industry

During the past weekend, an exclusive three-day private jet expo was held at the Hongqiao International Airport at Shanghai, China. The first day featured a Gulfstream 450 and a Diamond DA40.

The expo is the first of its kind in the country. China is preparing to open up its borders to more private jets in the future.

Private aviation companies eagerly await the industry’s boom in the country, which is a potentially a huge high-end market.

However, the buzz has also raised environmental concerns. Due to its polluted air industry, China will be promoting a low-carbon society, giving the country a more active role in the global climate change issue. This will clash with the entry of more private jets in the industry.
